The skin I'm in

Aesop Skin care routine

Aēsop skin routine

I’ve become one of those people who consume cosmetics by the aesthetics of the packaging

Ya know, somewhere in my brain, the quality of a product is directly proportional to the beauty of its branding.

Of course then there’s the slight possibility that my skin may be allergic to parsley seed bottled in a sophisticated amber container. BUT that’s a risk I have to live with.

I’m an Aēsop enthusiast. I’ve slowly come to the point where around 95% of my beauty & hair routine is done with its products.

I wanted to drop a line here to tell you how neat my face skin has become since I started using Aēsop six months ago. I’ve got a combination of normal to oily skin and used to end up buying the wrong products and damaging my skin. But thanks to Aēsop I’m enjoying my beauty moments more than ever!

Every morning I clean my face with the Amazing Face Cleanser using my Clarisonic. The product is smooth, smells delicious and will create a nice amount of foam. I rinse it with cold water and proceed to dry my skin using paper towels.

I used to clean my face in the shower but I heard you should never do that because [insert scary reason here]. So just in case something terrible happens I’m doing it right after the shower.

Cleansing is followed by toning with the B & Tea Balancing Toner. I apply it with a cotton pad and work it all over my face and neck.

Let me tell you something: this toner makes me feel like I’m using some kind of vintage botanical product bought in a pharmacy. It’s super refreshing and smells of herbs.

I finish with the Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream which I gently massage all over my face. When it is completely dry I proceed to applying make up.

I actually repeat this entire process before going to bed but then I finish up with another super cool product I’ll be talking about pretty soon.

If you’re thinking of getting new Aēsop products I strongly recommend you to visit one of their stores and request samples. Trust me: I had an allergic reaction to a product that I bought without testing it first. They of course allowed me to exchange it for another product without any problem but still: TEST EVERYTHING BEFORE PURCHASING!

Oh, and once you’re sure that you’ve found a golden egg, go for the biggest sizes as they’ll last FO E VA.

I am not a big spender in general, but I like to put my money in quality stuff. And Aēsop doesn’t disappoint. Yes, it’s in general slightly more expensive than Clinique and Biotherm. But I also tried these two brands and none of them did for me what Aēsop has done.

PS. No, Aēsop didn’t sponsor this post – the hardcore fan in me is speaking!

What was the product that caused the alergic reaction? Was it by any chance a Parsley seed hydrator? It made break out awfully :(

Yes! Parsley seed hydrator! Lovely packaging but it messed up with my skin… Luckily they took it back and got a full refund for it.
