… unless you are Veronika Heilbrunner. Then of course you are gonna look awesome and I’ll immediately head to the next Nike store to get my copycats.
In one of my multiple attempts to learn German by interpreting what magazines say, I arrived to Vogue Deutschland and found the following picture of Veronika Heilbrunner and Justin O’Shea. Besides of being such an expensive looking couple -beware, she is wearing a Valentino dress-, something captures my attention whenever I find this picture out there.
Ok, the guy is kind of hot and has an impressive beard -no one wants to mess up with a man with a beard!-. But hey, yes, those are Nike socks: HER Nike socks. Veronika did it alright -even though she has received some negative comments…-, alternating a very preppy style with a bit of nerd-i-ness. We don’t blame how cool she looks in those Nike sport socks: she’s got the nice face, the nice body and the nice legs to make them look fantastic.
Then this other girl came to the scene and completely messed it all up confusing street style photographers and provoking what I like to call a major fashion nay.
Because I mean, 2014 may be the year of the World Cup and all… but do we really have to teach this to ordinary people? THIS? A habit that has been mastered by elderly German tourists travelling to the Canary Islands for ages? I don’t know about you, but I just don’t see it. Instead, Birkenstock with socks could be another story…
Meanwhile, you can give these kids a try. They’re cushioned, so at least they guarantee some comfort! Read this:
Featuring a snug, compression fit at the arch, the Nike Dri-FIT Low Cut Socks (Medium/6 Pairs) offers a supportive fit that’s ultra-comfortable. Sweat-wicking fabric helps pull sweat away from the skin for fewer distractions when training heats up.
Sounds like something you definitely need for Fashion Week.
