Banjo PR, a cool PR space for proud PR people

Banjo PR, a cool PR space for proud PR people

I am literally in tears right now. I just launched Banjo PR, the secret project I have been talking about for so long in Girl with a Banjo. And I am getting so much love from other PR enthusiasts out there that I am crying here like a little baby! I am just SO happy.

But projects like this one need a proper introduction, right?

After I started blogging about PR in September 2012, I discovered that the readers who were only interested in Fashion used to find those PR contents a little bit strange for Girl with a Banjo. On the other hand, the readers who were interested in PR were always expecting PR posts from a site that was initially created to talk about fashion AND ONLY THAT. As the readership grew, I realized I couldn’t face the two areas under the same name any more.
So when I decided to revamp the PR section, I received some valuable inputs from other bloggers such as Anja Tufina from The Dolls Factory, Laura Perez from iFashion PR and Chic Influence and Patricia Jorge from El Blog de Patricia. They suggested that I should start a new blog and dedicate it to PR, leaving Girl with a Banjo for more fashion-related contents. It sounded dangerous in the beginning because a community had been created around Girl with a Banjo, but I decided to take the risk of losing visitors to create something that could satisfy the readers’ needs and suit them better. Banjo PR was outlined by the beginning of February and it has officially been launched TODAY.
All the old PR contents in Girl with a Banjo have been curated and uploaded in Banjo PR where I have tried to remain true to my trademark. I would really like for it to become a place where all the PR voices out there are heard, no Divas permitted (except for our wonderful PR Diva, who by the way has chosen the coolest name in town).
I think the best part of letting everyone know that I was working in a parallel project was receiving tons of emails from so many different girls who wanted to contribute with Banjo PR, even when they didn’t even know how it was going to be like. I was shocked that all those girls were trusting me so blindly, but at the same time I felt very proud and it kept me going.
Banjo PR is the ultimate place for sharing your knowledge and experiences with other gals who LOVE PR as much as you do. Want to become a one-time contributor? Are you interested in becoming a regular editor? Drop me a line! You will certainly make this girl happy.
Thank you so much for your support and, whether in fashion or in PR, keep rocking your banjos.
